CHC is pleased to announce our first organized club bullseye event in quite a while.
The event is open to anyone with a rimfire rifle. Divisions are iron sights and optics.
Gear up is at 9:30 with first shot at 10 am. The match will last approximately 2-3 hours.
There will be 3 positions of shooting (kneeling, prone and standing) with 20 rounds per position, plus sighters. The 20 rounds for each position are broken into 4 groups of 5 rounds for each of the 4 scoring bullseyes. The times for each group are 2 minutes, 1 minute, 30 seconds, and 15 seconds respectively for each of the 4 groups.
No bipods are permitted for the prone position, shooting is only off the elbows. If someone is mobilitry-impaired, they can shoot the entire match from a seated position.
Round count is thus 60 rounds plus sighters. The match will be approximately as described here minus the final round.
Bring a mat or equivalent to shoot prone as well as your eye and ear protection.
Official targets will be provided, the cost for trial match is $5 to cover the 3 targets per competitor.
Range officers and other volunteers are needed, please sign up for a free Volunteer ticket. If you register as a volunteer who works on Match Day, you can sign up to shoot for free on Build Day.
Paid competitors are permitted to shoot on Build Day at regular price if Match Day does not fit their schedule.
Competitor limit is 30.
Competing in Olympic Style Bullseye Rimfire is part of the path to getting an exemption letter to purchase a handgun. More on that later.
See you there!
Please note that the 100 m lanes remain open for club use during the match. The line is controlled by a range officer as usual.
